Product Summary
The MOC3051 is an optoisolator. It consist of a AlGaAs infrared emitting diode optically coupled to a non-zero-crossing silicon bilateral AC switch (triac). These devices isolate low voltage logic from 115 and 240 Vac lines to provide random phase control of high current triacs or thyristors. These devices feature greatly enhanced static dv/dt capability to ensure stable switching performance of inductive loads. It is ideal for: (1)Solenoid/valve controls; (2)Lamp ballasts; (3)Static AC power switch; (4)Interfacing microprocessors to 115 and 240 Vac peripherals; (5)Solid state relay; (6)Incandescent lamp dimmers; (7)Temperature controls; (8)Motor controls.
